Polyethylene Pipe Solutions

HDPE high-density polyethylene pipes offer high flexibility and meet the demands of modern pressure networks and infrastructure — with specifications selected against clear technical criteria.

Where they are used

  • Drinking water networks
  • Agricultural irrigation
  • Drip irrigation infrastructure
  • Sewer and drainage systems
  • Industrial pipelines
  • Cable protection
  • Infrastructure projects
  • Fluid-transfer systems

Technical selection parameters

The right pipe is defined by balancing a set of technical parameters approved by the project engineer:

Pipe diameter
The nominal outside diameter required to meet the design flow rate.
Wall thickness
Determined by the pressure class and the SDR adopted in the design.
SDR
The ratio of outside diameter to wall thickness — the lower the SDR, the higher the pressure capability.
PN pressure class
The pipe's nominal operating pressure at the reference temperature.
PE material grade
The polyethylene raw-material grade used in production per the agreed standard.
Application
The nature of use: drinking water, irrigation, drainage, industrial service or cable protection.
Installation method
Butt fusion, electrofusion or mechanical couplings depending on the network.
Operating pressure
The actual pressure expected in the network, including critical operating cases.
Customer requirements
Any additional project requirements: colors, marking, lengths or packaging.
